SAFE ON THE MOUNTAIN TOGETHER!

FAQs on Covid-19

Last updated: 25th September 2020

In general, skiing is an outdoor sport and the risk of infection is lower outdoors than indoors.
As ski lessons take place outdoors and all contact occurs outdoors, the risk of infection is very low.

We have, of course, dealt intensively with varied possibilities to optimally prepare your winter holiday for this new start in the coming season, especially with regards to our services.

We have analysed our procedures and evaluated dangers and risks regarding potential Covid infection.

WHAT IS AN APPROPRIATE FACE COVERING?

In addition to conventional face masks, multifunctional cloths, ski masks, buffs, etc. can be used as a face covering. It is important that the mouth and nose are completely covered to prevent droplets from spreading when speaking, coughing and sneezing.

WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO BOOK MY SKI COURSE?

Ideally, book your courses direct in our online shop. Of course, our offices are open as usual. Please ensure that you comply with protective Corona measures.

Due to the current situation, it is necessary that we plan our staff requirements well. In order to be able to provide sufficient places on the courses, we kindly ask that you book in good time.

CAN I CANCEL THE CLASS I BOOKED ONLINE?

Online bookings made through our online shop can be cancelled up to 48 hours before the start of the course without having to state a reason.
Simply send an email to our ski school with details of the course you wish to cancel.

Refunds for cancelled courses that have already been paid for will be made within 14 days. The refund will be made to the payment method used to make the booking.

HOW TO BEHAVE IN THE OFFICE

If you come to the office, please ensure that measures stated on the notice boards are adhered to. Observe the maximum number of persons, the minimum distance and that face masks are worn.

HOW TO BEHAVE AT THE ASSEMBLY POINT

Minimum distance rules must be observed at the assembly point. If the distance between you and others is less than 1 metre, face masks must be worn.

HOW TO BEHAVE IN THE CHILDREN’S AREA

Minimum distance rules must also be observed in the children's area - if the distance is less than 1 metre, a face mask must be worn. Generally speaking, you should spend as little time as possible at the Children’s Area. Please inform your children yourselves about compliance with the applicable rules of conduct.

ALTERNATIVES TO GROUP COURSES?

Family skiing and private lessons

Whether with family or with friends, adults or your own small group of children.

Put a small group of your own together and enjoy your skiing vacation with one of our ski instructors in the form of private lessons.

To guarantee a fun-filled day, all participants should have similar levels of ability.  Learning goals and skiing speed will be adapted to suit the whole group.

Bookable from 2 hours of private lessons per day as a ski or snowboard course.

Further information about private lessons can be found <<here>>

YOUNG CHILD CARE / DAY NURSERY

Due to the current situation, childcare for children under 4 years of age is currently unavailable.

LUNCHTIME SUPERVISION

Lunchtime supervision in the children's ski school will be very limited:
We therefore ask you to book lunchtime supervision in good time for your children's ski course.
The rooms for lunchtime supervision are disinfected daily and well ventilated.
Adults are only allowed to enter the premises in exceptional cases and only with a face mask.
As lunchtime supervision is one of the few indoor activities in the ski school, further restrictions may apply at short notice.

LESSON TIMES

In order to avoid peak times in the mountain restaurant, course times may be changed on individual days or weeks (brought forward by around 30 minutes). These will be announced in good time by the instructors and coordinated within the group ski courses (children & adults).

USE OF THE CABLE CAR AND SKI BUS

According to current information, a face mask or scarf is mandatory in all gondolas and chairlifts, queuing areas and all buses. (Status August 2020)
You can also find detailed information on the Mayrhofner Bergbahnen Cable Car Co. website

YOU ALL KNOW THEM BY NOW: HYGIENE RULES

We of course also take these new standards seriously and ask you:

  • to stay at home if you show any signs of symptoms
  • do not shake hands or hug
  • sneeze or cough into the crook of your arm or a handkerchief
  • avoid touching your face with unwashed hands
  • wash hands regularly with soap or disinfectant
EMPLOYEE SAFETY

We will do everything within our power to protect the safety of our employees. In addition to providing proper instruction on the rules of conduct, we ensure they have good accommodation and working conditions.
Further measures for our employees and their implementation are currently being planned. Information to follow...

SUSPECTED CASE OF COVID-19: WHAT TO DO?

If you develop symptoms of COVID 19 disease (dry cough, fever, shortness of breath, etc.) during your stay, you must call the Austrian emergency number 1450.
Instructions and further steps (possible testing, isolation, etc.) will then be given by the authorities and must be followed without fail.
Inform your accommodation provider.

Under no circumstances should a doctor's office be visited personally in a suspected case of COVID-19.
If you have any symptoms, please stay away from lessons, meeting places and our offices. Moreover, please inform us by telephone that you are unable to attend lessons.
